Ugh

The cops never showed up last night because there was a stabbing in the city and all resources were being used for that. There was a huge man hunt, so I got two calls from them saying that at first they may be here by this evening then another saying to call back in the morning and re-open the incident number because it wouldn’t be until about 3am that an officer to get here.

I may have sworn at the cop on the phone and a slight breakdown on here because I’m feeling like no one is taking this serious.

I talked to a lady at FACS, who took down what I thought was new information and was going to forward it to my worker on Monday when she got back. I informed her that I had called the police myself and am getting things going. I talked to my daughters bridge counsellor (who got interrupted by the cop I yelled at so I was in tears) just to keep her updated and let her know I would call her on Monday after my appointment with her hopefully long term counsellor.

So I had my alarm set for 8:30am which I slept through woke up at almost 11 freaking out. Mind you I had been up until 4:30am, but I wanted to talk to my daughter and see what she wanted and how this could all play out. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Called the police back and just got a call from them saying they were having a busy afternoon but they hadn’t forgotten about me.

I’m just so pissed, I get that because he’s no longer in the home and a threat to her this isn’t seen as a high priority thing, but still doesn’t mean everyone has to drag their feet.

No matter the outcome of this she will need help. Let’s just get things started so she can get the help and move on!

My baby girl ❤️

  1. You should consider going to the police station directly with your daughter. That way they cannot reject you, else you can file a complaint to the police supervisors (whatever the organisation is called in your country). You’d be surprised how fast the results will come. Wishing you good luck!
